Data we collect

BoulderMaps collects the following information: email address, username, climbing preferences (height, favourite styles), ascent history, location (only when using the map), and anonymous usage data to help improve the app.

How we use your data

We use your data to deliver the BoulderMaps experience: syncing your profile and ascents across devices, showing nearby blocks on the map, generating personalised climbing statistics, and improving the app based on aggregated usage patterns.

Third parties

We use the following third-party services: Supabase (database and authentication), Sentry (error reporting), PostHog (product analytics with anonymisation). We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymised statistical data may be retained indefinitely.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export and delete your personal data. You can exercise these rights from your profile settings in the app or by contacting us directly.
